“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
-2 Corinthians 5:17

As Christians, we’ve all experienced the pain that sin brings to our lives. Regret, anger, and shame are among the many bruising emotions that come about as a result of making choices that separate us from God. For most, there is a clear understanding that our faith in Jesus Christ avails us to His grace and forgiveness, and from there we move forward…

For some, sin becomes a bigger challenge. There are times when it becomes all-consuming. We submit to addictions, compulsive behaviors and destructive relationships that don’t only bring pain and destruction to our lives, but also to the lives of those we love.

“O LORD my God, I cried out to You and You healed me.” -Psalm 30:2

One Step isn’t a “recovery program”. At One Step we learn that when we cry out to Jesus Christ, true healing begins, and we’re given an opportunity to see the wonderful plan God has for our lives.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” -Romans 8:1

There is comfort at One Step. The one thing we all have in common when we join together is the fact that sin has brought profound damage to our lives. As a result this truly is a “judgment-free zone”. We confess, and then we turn to God’s Word for the guidance we need to move forward. Confidentiality is essential, and we diligently protect one another’s privacy.

One Step meets every Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Youth Ministry Building. We share a time of worship, teaching and open discussion in gender-specific small groups. We finish each week promptly at 9:00 pm. Please feel free to join us anytime!
